The New Tax Plan Just Did This To The Middle Class #Tax

Image
The new 2018 American Tax plan did these 3 things (in essence, one small good thing, and not-so-good for 99% of us, and another good all around for that whopping one percenters ie the rich 1% owners) in America: 1. It helps the 99% middle class slightly in the short run (next 1-5 years) 2. It hurts the 99% middle class largely in the long run (next 5-10 years and beyond) 3. It helps the rich and super rich 1% from now through the foreseeable future in HUGE ways How?  Well, I was being very polite here.  The new tax plan is said by Forbes Magazine to  "Scrooge" the middle class  in the long run.  If you're basically a One-Percenter aka multi-millionaire it only makes you richer.  Congratulations. If you're in the 99 percentile of earners,  which most of us are, in the long run the new tax plan favors the 1% and will hurt the 99% more than it will help, if you're willing to do the math. Unfortunately, most only focus on the short term rat...

How Good is a 680 or 760 Credit Score? #CreditScore

Image
Some have said years ago that:   A Credit Score of 760 is the new 680 ! Some have also said that 700 is now considered a "good" credit score by FICO , the company that scores people's credit. These Scores Imply: You need at least a 700 credit score to be considered to gave good credit.  680 is only ok, and may have been considered good before or near the housing bubble bust of 2008, but not any longer.  In fact, 760 and above is probably considered very good credit and 790-800, or above, is probably considered excellent credit.  850 is the highest credit score, and 300 the lowest.  Credit is of course most important for your mortgage rate and that means up to 30 years or more of rate consequences based on your credit score. How Do Credit Companies Weigh Credit Score Financial Factors? One source said this : "how an agency determines your score: Payment history and bankruptcy 31% Credit card debt 30% Length of credit history 15% Type...

Beware the Naked Man Who Offers You His Shirt! #Wisdom

You might be thinking at this point... What on earth does "Beware the Naked Man Who Offers You His Shirt" mean? It's really simple. It means that if someone who is naked offers you his shirt, would you believe him? Would you think they could "pull it off" pardon the pun? Of course not! The title of this post, and the lesson, is based off a book I read a long time ago by Harvey Mackay entitled Beware The Naked Man Who Offers You His Shirt. The book is more about business and delivering more than what you promise and other similar topics, but I am going to use the words for a life lesson learned, also known as a lifehack . The whole point of this life lesson learned  is: A naked man does not have a shirt to give! If he had one to give, he would not be naked, and may not take it off to give it to you! This is like someone offering you something they don't have! Sound too good to be true? The fact is this: No amount of kindness or sincerity ...

Teacher Pension Plans At Risk So Let's Fix This! #Teachers

Image
Why Can't We Do Better for Our School Teachers and Their Salaries and Pensions? When I hear about underpaid teachers (with arguably one of the most important jobs -- teaching our future generation) getting less than what they deserve in both salary and now pensions, this makes me very concerned. Also, when I read about how the national average rating for  how well teacher pensions are managed gets a C- , this also has me concerned.  I think we should all be a bit concerned with how yet in another area such as this, many in the middle class are getting the shaft, yet again. Teachers must have what they need to succeed so that the children they teach and mentor can also succeed.  Teachers should also not have to worry about pension funds that are at risk, borrowed against, don't return much interest, have expensive management fees as 401K plans, or otherwise nickel and dime them out of their small salaries. In fact, pensions should never have gone to 401K type o...

Why Did George Soros Say Facebook's Days Are Numbered? #Facebook

Image
Before You read This Article about Why George Soros Said Facebook's Days Are Numbered, First go read my other article at my "mybigbloggingadveture" website  the article is called "Facebook's Days Are Numbered I Was Right"  Then come back here and read this! Ok, are you back?  Now read this: Why Did George Soros Say Facebook's Days Are Numbered? George Soros said this of Facebook and many other  companies and things: "The IT monopolies  I want to spend the bulk of my remaining time on another global problem: the rise and monopolistic behavior of the giant IT platform companies. These companies have often played an innovative and liberating role. But as Facebook and Google have grown into ever more powerful monopolies, they have become obstacles to innovation, and they have caused a variety of problems of which we are only now beginning to become aware." The rest is absolutely shocking!  And it definitely ALL needed to be said, i...

How to Deal With Busybodies Gossipers and Meddlers #Haters

Image
This Is a Continuation of Our Topic About Busybodies, Gossipers, Meddlers and other Haters Out There... So here is a good question when referring to these kinds of people: Are men or women more prone to be busybodies and gossipers, and why? Some say women are for reasons such as: Women are actually better at multitasking than men, and women often get bored easier and add more things to their plate as a result - so they are often more prone to be busybodies Women today, unfortunately, still feel challenged about having to prove themselves in the world, so they might take on more than they should and stay super busy to prove themselves This is not to say many men are not busybodies.  My opinion is it's probably a 50-50 split between men and women being busybodies, gossipers and meddlers.  Men become busybodies because of their value systems and "I want to prove myself in everything" tendencies as well.   I have had to deal with big-time busybody versi...

How to Deal With a Busybody - Understand Their Psychology #Haters

Image
Step 1 For Effectively Dealing With a Busybody - Understanding "Busybody Psychology" i.e. what a busy body is and why busybodies act the way they do! First, what is a busybody ?  A busybody is someone with a constant drive to do things and stay occupied or "busy" constantly.  Busybodies are always on the move, always on the go, always want to know and be heard, gossipers in the extreme. Busybodies cannot sit still for too long.  They are meddlers who must constantly know or do something, most likely other that what they really should be doing! The busybody's game is meddling and their ultimate aim (and downfall) is self-avoidance.   They want to spend time on other people's problems and issues, rather than their own. To understand a busybody, you must know why they act the way they do.  You must understand the psychology of a busybody. This will help you to deal with them more effectively and will make life and work so much easier and underst...
