How to Deal With Busybodies Gossipers and Meddlers #Haters
This Is a Continuation of Our Topic About Busybodies, Gossipers, Meddlers and other Haters Out There...
So here is a good question when referring to these kinds of people:
Are men or women more prone to be busybodies and gossipers, and why?
Some say women are for reasons such as:
- Women are actually better at multitasking than men, and women often get bored easier and add more things to their plate as a result - so they are often more prone to be busybodies
- Women today, unfortunately, still feel challenged about having to prove themselves in the world, so they might take on more than they should and stay super busy to prove themselves
Men become busybodies because of their value systems and "I want to prove myself in everything" tendencies as well. I have had to deal with big-time busybody versions of each, male and female.
What to do if you work for, live with or have to put up with a busybody:
MOST IMPORTANTLY - Minimize your time around that person or you'll get more and more irritated and annoyed, because of their ways, especially if your a "call a spade a spade" type of person who hates playing games and being a socialite.
Try to arrange things so you don't have to work for them. If this is unavoidable, put a buffer in between you and them, in the form of space, time, layers, whatever you can to avoid them.
You can always claim that you're just too busy for them, and then stay busy with their projects rather tan with them to prove it. They will probably understand all about being busy, more than anyone else you will ever meet. So you'd think they would understand.
Should You Confront a Busybody Gossiper, or Meddler?
Not usually. Talking to them about it is probably not going to work, because they usually don't change who they are or how they act. At some point in life, you just don't. While unfortunate, and while they could choose to act and be different, they and many other people do not.
You have to practice avoidance as much as possible. If you can swing it, go to meetings, conferences, fill your calendar with things that are legitimate, and which will allow you to avoid them.
